Brad Hogg Feel like it’s time Royal Challenger Bangalore (RCB) Part ways AB de VilliersSince the details of the large auction and retention rules have not been fully resolved, Hogg believes that there is too much uncertainty in the future of the goalie batsman.

The former Australian spinner talked about how he will handle IPL auctions from a franchise perspective. He pointed out that key Indian players between the ages of 23-26 are crucial as core members of the team. In view of the latter’s tendency to withdraw from the tournament, he also supports the team’s choice of more British players than the Australians.

Hogg believes that the franchise should go to players who have retired from international cricket matches. He supports CSK going to Faf du Plessis, but opposes RCB to do the same with AB de Villiers. Hogg said in a speech on his YouTube channel:

“If I were RCB, I would not keep AB de Villiers because his future is more unstable than a player like Faf du Plessis.”

In this version of the IPL, AB de Villiers was shunned from a more conservative role, while Glenn Maxwell assumed the middle responsibilities. The former South African captain experienced a bleak game, averaging only 313 runs and an average score of 31.30. He failed to find status in the UAE’s lap, and the superficial nature did not help his career.

“The team may have to play one more overseas player”-Brad Hogg

Hogg claimed that he did not fully agree with IPL’s plan to expand 10 teams from next season. He believes that for the plan to proceed smoothly, the limit on the number of overseas players participating in XI should be increased to 5. He added:

“For me, I don’t know if the situation around the world is worth having two more teams. They may have to play an extra overseas player in each team.”

IPL 2022 will have two new teams and will also witness format changes. The franchisees are not yet clear about the amount they allow to reserve or the right to match the cards they can use during the auction.
